Today we went through each other's songs, crossing out ones we believed to be too complicated to achieve with the facilities we have. We started by looking at my songs and crossing out 2 that had exceeded the view amount allowed, overall out of the selection that I presented we liked the country song 'Drive by' as it was slow however had the opportunity for casting, was available for cuts in the editing that would correlate to the pace of the song as well as we liked how the set is quite achievable to match the tone of the song. We were not a fan of the 'Fortuna Pop' song as it was too high pitch and we agreed that the song was not going to be pleasant to record with. However, we liked how lively, youthful, and castable it was it had a child-like spirit that would have matched the people we had available to cast. After listening to Ben's songs we had quite a few songs that we had the potential to use. we started by listening to a song called Aquarium which we as a group liked very much as it was upbeat, youthful and gave us plenty of ideas for a music video. I personally liked the overall tone of the song as it had an element of teen rock that would be highly castable at Hurtwood. We also listened to a song called Gone, which we considered being too slow in pace and a little uninteresting to the ear therefore due to this we decided it was not the song that we wanted to use and therefore crossed from the list. Ben's third song showed to be very interesting and was definitely our top pick out of songs we had listened to so far being ' Take it or leave it', the voices were a bit more mature however were still a possibility for casting, the song was also framed around a band which would give us a wider range of things to point the camera at whilst filming, which for us was a huge positive. The other aspect that we liked about ' Take it or leave it', was that it was fun and therefore gave the opportunity to shoot an interesting and fun video, however gathering a band to create a song for practice is much more complicated, than having a singular singer. Our major overall issue with the song was the fact that the views were on the rise which could pose a problem by the time we create the video. Ben's final song 'Sunshine in our life' we decided was again too slow, however, we liked the opportunities for filming and transitions the song represented such as water transitions. After this, we moved on to Georgia's songs her first song choice was 'Lips' we decided that it wasn't going to work as the artist was pre-known and the song itself as a group we were not a big fan of. Her next song choice was called 'Peach', Peach as a whole we really liked as it had youthful elements, and it captures the teenage essence. Georgia's next song was ' Questions' which we saw as lacking personality which made it a difficult type of song to market for because of this we decided not to have it as an option. Georgia's final song was 'Witch' we liked however found to be less castable within our potential candidates. In our lesson, we ran out of time to hear Daisy songs and therefore will hear them tomorrow.

This song seemed as the most interesting to the group, as it was childlike and playful which matches our casting pool. Personally, however I preferred Ben's song Aquarium as it was something I believed to match our casting pool as well as had a musical tone that would not become over baring to listen to on repeat on the shoot day.
