Magazine cover one:
Both of my magazine covers were created using Canva. For my first cover, I made a black and white design inspired by Numero. I made sure that it included the name of the documentary in bug writing as well as including a comment from a big fashion designer with his insight of how he viewed the documentary. Having a quote from a big name in the industry is a common convention of magazine covers as well as announcing the company that is releasing the magazine being 'Youth fashion', it usually also presents the name of the creator and the year that it is being released in. I included the date and time of release onto the front cover as this was another common convention found on magazine covers for documentaries as expressed by ' Documentaries international'.

In my second magazine cover, I was much happier with the results. Following the conventions of Vogue, I took on of Lucas's illustrations that he was happy to let me use and displayed it as the background of my Magazine cover. I included a Few of Vogues common conventions such as adding, the information of other elements that will be included in the magazine such as the '43 New looks'. I then included some quotes from established fashion designers in the industry. I wanted to ensure that I used the stereotypical Vogue writing in the centre of the magazine cover as this really matched the conventions of what is expected from a fashion documentary that is being published on Vogues front page. Once I was happy with the title I added Vogues quote and view of the documentary as a hook to my target audience.
Barcode/QR created by Kai:
After I was content with how the page was looking I included a functional barcode that links to the Vogue website, adjusting to the modern conventions of magazines and the media. Underneath you can see the steps that I took to create a functional QR barcode.
Selecting the template that was most suitable, I wanted the QR to match the aesthetic of the magazine cover so I ensured that it was not as pixelated but rather smoothed over.
This is the finished QR code that is fully functional:
